Progresses and Prospects in Geospatial Big Data for E-government

Abstract: In recent years, geospatial big data have attracted great attention from industry, academia, research and government sectors, and even have triggered a lot of industry changes. Geospatial big data for E-government provide new means for government information management and decision making. This paper analyzes the concepts and characteristics of geospatial big data for E-government, mainly reviews the key technologies in geospatial big data for E-government, including data integration, storage and management, data mining and analysis, visualization, and decision support service technologies. Finally, the bottleneck problems and technical challenges of geospatial big data for E-government are discussed.
